Skateboarding Tournaments

                       Skateboarding has a lot of tournament most of the tournament are locally held. There are a few big tournaments. They include the X-Games the Gravity games and many more.  There  are also the tournaments that are held for beginner and intermediate skaters. The X-Games are probably the most notable skating competition. It also includes other sports such as biking, inline skating, motocross, and many more. The gravity games also incorporate skateboarding as a major competition but is less notable. The gravity games is a competition that moves from town to town  with famous skaters competing for different titles. If you are a skater and interested in competing call your local skate park and ask if they do competitions on your skill level. 

X Games                 

The first time the X Games were put to question was at an ESPN press conference in 1993. The next year the X Games were announced as an official event. In June of, 1995 the first X Games were held in Rhode Island. In the beginning there were very few sports like rock climbing and other sports that were then considered extreme. Even at the first X Games, they had many famous sponsors and over 198,000 viewers. In 1997 the first Winter X Games were held and proved to be a landmark in X Games history. From the beginning of the X games until now, the X Games have shown many people how amazing extreme sports are and influenced many to start one of the many action sports.
