Golf Tournaments
There are many golf tournaments for the pros to play in. Many of which consist of a prize of a lot of money or even cars. Players have to get invited to play in the tournaments. Tournaments have rounds of 18 holes. Each day they play one round. After a number of rounds some players get cut from playing. They did not have a low enough score to finish the tournament. Tournaments are played all over the Us and some are played in other countries. Tournaments are the Accenture Match Play Championship, which is played in Carlsbad, CA. The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am is played in Pebble Beach, CA. The B.C. Open is played in Endicott, NY. The Bell Canadian Open is played in Hamilton, ON. The Bellsouth Classic is played in Duluth, GA. The Bridgestone Invitational is played in Akron, OH. The British Open is played in Great Britain. The Buick Invitational is played in Grand Blanc, MI. The Cialis Western Open is played in Lemont, IL. The EDS Bryon Nelson Classic is played in Irving TX. The FBR Open is played in Scottsdale, AZ. The FedEx St. Jude Classic is played in Memphis, TN. The John Deere Classic is played in Silvis, IL. The Memorial Golf Tournament is played in Dublin, OH. the Nissan Open is played in Pacific Palisades, Ca. The PGA Championship is a major tournament. The Reno-Tahoe Open is played in Reno, NV. There is a Senior Championship for the older golfers. The Shell Houston Open is played in Houston, TX. The Sony Open is played in Honolulu, HI. The International is played in Castle Rock, CO. The Masters is played in Augusta, GA. The Players Championship is played in Ponte Verde Beach, FL. The U.S. Open is played in Mamaroneck, NY. the U.S. Senior Open is played in Hutchinson, KS. The Wachovia Championship is played in Charlotte, NC. Those were all of the tournaments for the year of 2006. The Masters is probably the biggest and the most important U.S. tournament. Players get ranked by the positions that they come in for the tournaments. Players who have high tournament standings will be ranked higher than those with lower standings.
