Golf Rules

Golf is a game that consists of tournaments, matches, and playing just for fun.

A traditional golf course has 18 holes.

A player hits the ball off of the tee and tries to get in  it the hole with the least amount of strokes.

Pars are when you get the amount of strokes that the hole usually takes to make it.

You can also get eagles which are when you are two strokes under par.

It took you two less strokes to make it in.

You can get birdies in which you get one stroke under par.

If you go over par you can get a bogey, a double bogey, a triple bogey, and anything farther.

If a ball hit goes out of bounds or in water the player either has to re-hit or drop the ball three feet away from the place it went out.

Golf has certain hazards that you want to hit away from.

They are sand bunkers, water, lakes rivers or streams, and trees or high grass.

Sand bunkers or traps are holes that are filled in with sand.

Your ball can go into water and you can't get it out.

Your ball can get lost in high grass and you might not be able to find it after you hit it.  Golf is a quiet sport.

When people are hitting it is right to remain quiet.

Pro players that win tournaments or matches min money and even cars.

Golf has different teas that you can hit from.

The yellow and red teas are the closest and are meant for children and women.  Blue teas are meant for men and white teas are meant for the pros.

Golf is a sport for all ages and skill levels.

It is a fun and frustrating sport though.

Although it is a tough sport it is still fun to play.
