Bowling Rules and Object of game

In the game of bowling each match is the best of a three game series when competing.

If each team wins one game there will be a tiebreaker game that decides who wins the match.

When you bowl you try to knock down the most pins that you can.

There are ten pins arranged at the end of the lanes.

If your ball goes in to the sides of the lane it is called a GUTTER BALL.

When you are rolling the ball down the lane you can not have any part of your body cross the line at the beginning of the lane.

On your turn to bowl you get two tries to knock down all of the pins.

If you knock down all ten of the pins on your first roll it is called a strike and you get an X on your scoring sheet.

If you knock down some pin  on your first try and the rest on your next try you get a spare.

The highest score that you can get in one round is 300.  That is very good.

When you bowl you wear special bowling shoes so that you do not slip when you are starting to roll the ball down the lane.

The lanes are greased so that the ball keeps rolling down the lane even when it is going slow.

The balls can weigh from six pounds to 20 pounds.

They come in different colors.

Most importantly always have fun and play by the rules!
