Troy Aikman

College Career  

            Troy Aikman was born on November 21, 1966.  When he was at UCLA, he completed 64.8 percent of his passes for 5,298 yards and 41 touchdowns while throwing only 17 interceptions.    He was selected number 1 overall by the Dallas cowboys in 1989.  He played football from 1989 through 2000.  IN these years that he played he played quarter back for the Dallas Cowboys.  His jersey number on the Cowboys was number 8.  Troy Aikman was a great player throughout his career, and there is no season that was really his best.  He accomplished his highest passing average in 1992, when he had a total of 3,445 yards and declared his highest passer rating in1993 (99.0).

Troy Aikman had many college awards.  A few of them are he was a Heisman trophy finalist in 1988.  He won the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award in 1988. He was also most valuable player at the cotton bowl in 1988.          

N.F.L. Career

           

           Troy Aikman has many NFL career totals in his life.  Some of them are he completed 2,898 of 4,715 passes for 32,942 yards and 165 touchdowns.  He also had 327 carries for 1,016 yards and nine touchdowns.

            Troy Aikman had many NFL highlights.  He had the number one pick in NFL draft in 1989 picked by the Dallas Cowboys.  He led Dallas to consecutive super bowl titles in 1992 and in 1993 and another in 1995.  HE also led Dallas to four consecutive NFC Championship games in 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1995.  He was one of only three quarterbacks of in NFL history with at least three super bowl victories.  HE was the MVP of super bowl XXVII (1993).  He had all-pro for 4 years. He set an NFL rookie record with 379 yards passing against Phoenix Cardinals.  He set the record for longest play from scrimmage in playoff history with a 94 yard touchdown pass to Alvin Harper against the Packers in 1994.  He set an NFC championship record for attempts, completions, and passing yards in a 38-28 loss to the 49ers in 1994.  He set club records with 156 passing attempts without an interception in 1996.  HE was able to Finish his career with 32,942 total passing yards and completed 2,898 passes on 4,715 attempts (61.5%).  He was inducted into the Texas Hall of Fame on February 26,2002 .
