About Us

Our team is comprised of 5 students at our high school in Illinois. We are part of the club Webweavers, which designs website for the various organizations in our school. Despite being in one location, we each brought diversity to the team. Our members have roots from all around the world, from the United States, to Russia, to Mexico, to Korea, to Singapore.

The Topic

When making this site, our team encountered many problems. The first one was the topic. We spent a few weeks on choosing a topic that we felt would affect us all. Heroes from chosen because, while we were all from different backgrounds, all our cultures could relate to Mythology. Each hero may be different, but they all share the same essential qualities, as the Heroic Monoymth illustrates.

The Design

With a topic chosen, we spent another few weeks choosing a design for the site. Playing around with Photoshop, we tried various layouts and color combinations. There was some heated debate, but we eventually came to a consensus.

Making the Site

With the design finalized, our web site coding experts, Andrew and Constance started working on making our Photoshop dream an HTML reality. Our graphic designer, Dan, began collecting public domain images and editting them to fit our purpose. The rest of the team, George, Sean, and Chris began researching various heroes. Slowly, constantly collaborating, the website came together.
