We have designed this website in order to put stress on the importance of lagoons in the Mediterranean countries and in other parts of the world and to raise people's awarness about the growing threats facing this ecosystem. We have mainly dealt with lagoons in Tunisia, Italy, the USA, Ghana and India. We took Bizerte lagoon as a case study because it's near our school, our place of living and we are witnessing the change of the lagoon's state especially that most of our friends'parents are fishermen and the lagoon is the only source of living for a large number of famlies in Menzel Abderrahman.

We hope that learners find our website useful and interesting and people in general will become more sensible about the situation in the lagoons and try to change it to the better and preserve our lagoons for the next generations.
