Hip Hop & Rap 50 cent- 50 Cent was born in South Jamaica, Queens but lived in New York all of his life. His mother was shot and his father left him so Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson lived with his grandparents. He dreamed of being a heavyweight boxer but decided to go back into rapping. 50 Cent got shot many times before releasing an album so the company didn't release it. They thought it was a bad image so it was never released. A few weeks later Eminem said "50 Cent is definitely my favorite rapper right now, he's the only one keeping it real." The next day 50 Cent signed a deal with Eminem and his career has been going very successful since then. He now stars in movies and records his own music. Eminem- Eminem, Marshall Bruce Mathers III, was born in October 17, 1972. He spent most of his childhood moving back and forth from Kansas City and Metro Detroit. Then he attended Lincoln High School. In 1995, on December 25, his daughter Haile Jade was born. Eminem released his first full-length debut in 1996. He later released many albums and is a popular singer in today's world. Nelly- Nelly was born under the name of Cornell Haynes Jr. He was born on November 2, 1974 in Austin, Texas. He lived in Spain until he was 3 with his father and then moved to St. Louis. Nelly's parents struggled with money and then got divorced when he was 7. Nelly had a dream of becoming a pro baseball player which never happened. He moved around with different family members and created a group called the "St. Lunatics." He then got into rapping and was convinced that he could make a career out if it. He started his own style of rap and now has an amazing career in rapping.
