Hurricane Vince
On October 8th
well being unnamed, Vince had the regular hurricane form. But due to
unbelievable conditions for a tropical cyclone, NHC (National Hurricane Center) decided not
to name it one. Vince should have been named to this status as proofed by
statistics later checked. It wasn’t officially named till the early hours
following day. However it was still weird, as the location was special. It was
roughly 520 miles southeast of the Azores. Six hours
later, Hurricane Vince was born. This was based on one quote from the NHC, “if
it looks like a hurricane...it probably is...despite its environment and
unusual location.” Vince had not been a hurricane even a couple days before it
returned to extra-tropical in unfavorable conditions and not long after making
landfall on the morning of October 11th. Vince had no damages, no
deaths, and no flooding. It had a normal amount of rain, averaging one to two
inches. For being quite special, Vince didn’t do very much damage or last very
long.
