Tropical Storm Delta

Coming to live on November 23 was Tropical Storm Delta, one of this 2005's late-season storms. Slowly moving was Delta, maintain strength just under hurricane statistics. Top wind peaks reached 70 mph yet officially Delta was never a hurricane. After Delta had ended, scientists found out that it may have reached hurricane strength for a short time period on the 4th Sunday of November. Lacking evidence, it was never an official hurricane. On the 28th of November Delta merged with a non-tropical front creating an extratropical storm before reaching north Africa and the Canary Islands. Morocco had been the first island but Delta later died over Algeria on the last day of November. There were seven deaths reported as a result but that was not the hardest hits. A famous rock formation called El Dedo de Dios a.k.a. God’s Finger, was completely wiped out by Delta’s waves and winds.
