Princess Diana - Princess of Wales

Princess Diana Frances Spencer, Princess of Wales, was born on July 1, 1961, near Sandringham, Norfolk, at Park House. She became a Lady at age fourteen, when her father became the eighth Earl Spencer. Diana went to private boarding schools all through her life. She was not a very good student, but she excelled in sports, winning many medals for her swimming. After she graduated in 1978, she worked as a waitress, nanny, and a housekeeper, and eventually became a teacher in Pimlico, London, at the Young England kindergarten.

On July 29, 1981, "Lady Di" married the heir to the throne of Wales, Prince Charles Phillip Arthur George, at St. Paul's Cathedral. Because of this marriage, she became the first English woman to marry an heir to a throne in over 300 years. However, on August 28, 1996, the Princess of Wales officially divorced Prince Charles, sharing custody of the children with him.
