Global Perspectives

Many web sites focus upon a certain region, area, or place in a country, but not this site! We are far better than that! Aghast, this site focuses on our WORLD! Many of the brotherhoods from this site are even BASED from different countries, such as the Illuminati (which originated from Germany) and the Assassins (which originated from the Middle East). These “gone global” brotherhoods influenced, yea still influence the entire planet, Earth. These beautiful brotherhoods taught their beliefs, ideas, and even some deadly magic to their fellow peers on this planet. Many important people came from these brotherhoods, men who came to teach their fellow “Earthians.”
This group embarked on a marvelous, mischievous mission, which was to relate this important information to the fellow inhabitants of Earth. The team, often called amongst its members “Team Deliverance,” had to work together to produce the site, which you are viewing now. We faced many challenges, which we often called “mountains,” and we learned how to overcome these “mountains.” We knew the greatest mountain of all, Mt. Everest, which was, “How we were to set aside our heritages and differences to produce this awesome, nay, incredible web site?” To produce this site, we had to set aside our differences such as: John H.’s “slowness,” Harrison’s “unknowing ways,” Charlie’s “stubborn ways,” and John B.’s “ways of communication”. But yet, our differences helped us as well. Everyone had a different perspective, and each was well respected. These respected perspectives helped “mold” this site from a bunch of Play-Doh® to a vast, beautiful creation. Team members’ backgrounds and opinions helped us become better as a whole. One of the most important perspectives was from James (whom we call Fonzi, because everyone loves him). James once attended our school, but he recently moved away. His perspectives from Mississippi were obtained from communication through a blog. These were some of the many ways we used others’ ideas to help create our site, to a global perspective of course!

Our team “Brotherhood” made this site, but it’s much more than that. We spent months toiling to make our site depictive. It wasn’t all candy and nuts. In the beginning, our team had to learn how to transform from spare parts, to a well oiled machine. As John B. put it, “Our web site is like a butterfly’s metamorphisis. It was considerably ugly at first, but it has now blossomed from its ugly cocoon to a radiant butterfly.” Two of our members were grizzled veterans of the backstabbing web site making community. John B. and Charlie, the veterans were named co-captains. The two seventh graders, “rookies”, had to be taught Adobe Go Live and had to adjust to John B.'s and Charlie’s strict research regimen. Harrison could be described as a sponge waiting to soak up instruction. John B. and Charlie showed him what to do; and he did it. However, our other “rookie”, John H. was more like a hunk of marble. To do what he was told, John H. had to be “sculpted and beaten” if you will, into a page making machine. The group had to deal with his inadequate knowledge of computers. All he seemed to know how to do was visit paintball websites. The captains even had to teach him how to log in to the computer. Eventually, we shaped this “block of marble” into a great researcher and page producer. Then the final turn to our “rubix cube”; to solve the mystery of a great site, occurred in the form of our 5th member, James. He attended our school last year, but sadly moved to Mississippi, a blow, that reverberated in the halls of our school. Ms. Furnanz informed us James was going to do research from the distant land of Mississippi. Ms. Furnanz set up a Blog so we could communicate with him, and he could send us the research. James turned out some succulent research, or what we called “chunks” that helped our “machine” produce. James was a magnificent researcher. He stayed on task and always did what was asked of him. John B. thrived in the technological aspect by working on the menu and template. Not only did he work on the technical things he produced pages for many brotherhoods. Charlie kept us in check and always made sure we stayed on task. He created many beautiful pages, and when he finished he helped others link and make pages. Harrison was a worker who always tried to stay on task. He created pages considerably fast for a seventh grader. John H. was a slow starter, but in the end he poured it on and made many great pages. This is our site. Feast your eyes as you frolic through the wonderful site that is “Brotherhoods.” |
