Hindu Prayers
A Hindu Person Offering Prayers
Hindu people have several prayers for the many different times of the day, or of their lives. There are prayers committed upon awakening, before stepping on the ground (to ask Mother Earth’s forgiveness for treading on her),to pray to Lord Krishna and start the day, prayers to say before eating, and prayers before retiring for the day.
Prayer said before eating:

Yagna Shistaa Shinah Santo, Muchyante Sarva Kilbishaih

Bhunjate Te Tvagham Paapaa, Ye Pachantyaatma Kaaranaat

Brahmaarpanam Brahma Havihi, Brahmaagnau Brahmanaa Hutam

Brahmaiva Ten Gantavyam, Brahma Karma Samaadhina

Yat Karoshi Yadshnaasi, Yaj Ju Hoshi Dadaasi Yat

Yat Tapasyasi Kaunteya Tat Kurushva Madarpanam

Ahanv Vaishvaa Naro Bhutvaa, Praaninaan Deha Maashritah,

Praanaa Paana Samaayuktah Pachaamyaannany Chaturvidham

Om Saha Naa Va Vatu, Saha Nau Bhunaktu,

Saha Viryan Karavaa Vahai, Tejasvi Naa Vadhit Mastu,

Maa Vidvishaa Va Hai
