The Bible
is the scripture book of Christianity. It is made up of two main
parts, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament
also contains the scriptures of Judaism. The original Old Testament
was written in Hebrew, but when Alexander the Great ruled Greece,
the world power, he translated the Old Testament into Greek. This
was also known as the Septuagint. The original New Testament was
written in Greek. |
