WRESTILING

History

One, Two, Three that’s it, it’s all over and the crowd goes wild. This is what most people think when someone asks them about Wrestling, but most people don’t realize that it all started with the Greeks. The Greeks didn’t have flashing lights and spandex pants. The first Wrestling matches were in the Olympics. To be in the wrestling competition was considered an honor. The Greeks didn’t wear any clothing when they fought. The word wrestling means to grapple and fight. In order for the match to end the, two opponents would pin the other one for a certain amount of time, or the opponent had to give up. If the person won then he would be rewarded and praised.

Modern Day
The World Wrestling Entertainment or the WWE is almost completely different from what it was like in the time of the Greeks. Today’s wrestlers are allowed to were extravagant costumes and each person has his or her own corrector. If a wrestler wins an important match he or she may win a title which is a large cold belt. A person can loose the belt if they are beaten. There are many aspects that make wrestling exciting one of them is the fire works and flashing lights. There many famous wrestlers such as The Rock, triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austen, halkogan, HBK. The list goes on and on. There was even a man named Mick Foley who played as three different wrestlers Dude Love who was the loving hippy wrestler, Man Kind, and Cactus Jack who was the meanest and craziest side of the three faces of Foley. There is a lot of controversy over whether or not wrestling is fake, you be the judge.
