| When we started out, we thought this was mainly
about building a website. We found out very quickly that our main
challenge was
to learn how to work together. We owe a big "thank you" to
our assistant coach, Mrs. Dittmann, who not only helped us with the
ins and outs
of web design, but also with the translation into German. We would
also like to thank especially Prof.
Dr. John Durkin from the University
of Akron/Ohio, who was nice enough to send us links and pictures,
as well as two academic papers he had written on the subject of Artificial
Intelligence. We owe him big! Below is a description on who of the
team was involved in what part. For a note from the assitant coach,

| Starting in August of 2005, our team met once a
month on Sunday afternoons from 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. to learn
about the fundamentals
of web design, work on the project and discuss questions from team
members. Outside of these meetings, the team worked on the website
during computer instruction at school. We gave it one last effort
in February to fill in the holes that were still there. |
| |
| Donald came up with the design of the robot in a
toga, which we scanned in and, with the help of Mrs. Dittmann,
"pulled" through
Adobe Streamline 4.0 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 and then colored
in to create our main design. We used it throughout
the site. He also researched visions of A.I.
and beginnings of Artificial Intelligence. |
| |
| Garrett mainly researched Artificial Intelligence
in the 15th through the 17th century and contributed parts of other
pages, like the timeline for the 20th century history of AI. |
| |
| Sean helped with the home page, wrote some of the
medical uses page and contributed parts of other pages. |
| |
| Sonja researched Industrial Revolution and major
parts of other pages. She also assisted team members in understanding
crucial elements
of web design and other aspects of the project. She helped combine
individual team member contributions into the final website, including
proofreading them. She incorporated the photos and pictures into
the site. Lastly, she designed the flash intro, the two quizzes
we included on history
and latest
developments,
and
came
up with the main menu buttons on the left. She also helped supply
a lot of information to all the pages. |
| |
| We cross-referenced our design with Mozilla Firefox to make it
as cross-browser compatible as we could. |
