The history of Artificial
Intelligence is not necessarily that of AI alone. Many inventions,
advances in mathematics and medicine, as well as philosophy
and other theories have all contributed to where we are today.
Without the Gutenberg printing press, for example, we wouldn't
have been able to spread knowledge, as the church back then
held the monopoly on spreading knowledge.
Without Galileo's telescope or the steam engine,
we would have never sent rovers to Mars. As we read more
and more about the topic, we discovered that the history
of Artificial Intelligence can be more or less divided into early
beginnings, 15th - 17th century, Industrial
Revolution and 20th century
until now.
Each era brought important new things that
made us come closer to the next big thing to be thought
of, invented or built. |
