The Producers

The ProducersThe Producers is an amazing Broadway show that was actually a movie! The play follows theatrical producer Max Bialystock and an accountant named Leo Bloom. The two come up with a great idea. They decide to raise money to create a Broadway fiasco, and then keep or “pocket” the difference.

The Producers had become a sensation on Broadway. It has earned more Tony Awards than any other show in the history of the Great White Way. The show is so popular, a new movie will be coming out based on the Broadway show staring Nathan Lane (Timon from the Lion King Movie), Matthew Broderick (Inspector Gadget 2) Uma Therman and Will Ferrell (Elf).

You can see this remarkable show at The St. James Theatre on 246 West 44th Street. The show is about two hours and forty minutes with one intermission. The show opened on April 19th, 2001.
