Movin' Out

Movin' Out is about a group of young adults "moving out" of their houses to make it big. No one talks at all until a marriage is pantomined! This show has romance and comedy all in one!

This rock and roll Broadway show is an excitement to see. The characters are all fabulous dancers that light up the stage. This show is made up of just MUSIC! There is no dialogue at all! Some say this show is just like seeing a Billy Joel concert. The story line takes place between 1960 and 1980. Some songs seem to be ballads, but its all rock and roll to the cast and creators.

"Movin' Out" won Tony Awards in 2003 for a spectacular performance! The dances by Twyla Tharp bring out the theme of rock and roll in this show. The amazing music will not be found in the pit below the stage. It will be found actually above the stage! The music is more effective and everyone is able to enjoy the beautiful sound! "Movin' Out" is a fantastic Broadway show created for a mature audience.

Moving out is shown in the Richard Rodgers Theatre, located on 226 West 46th St.
