My name is Meg. I am in eighth grade. I have been doing website projects since I was in sixth grade. This is my third website. My other websites include "Why Waste Time On Television" (Honorable Mention in 2004) and "Sports Clothing" (2005.) I love making websites! It is so much fun to pick out themes, do research, and then have a final project I am proud to have worked on! I thank Mrs. T for first introducing us to this competition!
In my free time, my favorite thing is to dance. I do ballet, jazz, pointe, and am also in a dance company at my studio. I have been dancing since I was three years old! In the past, I have been in the Mid-Atlantic Ballet's Nutcracker, the Moscow Ballet's Nutcracker, and the Albany-Berkshire Ballet. In July, I attended the American Academy of Ballet's one-week summer dance intensive. It was great! This year I am going to sleep away for two weeks. I am also in my studio's Dance Company. I love performing! Dance is my favorite thing to do!
Next, I love to play the violin! This is my fourth year. Sam and I actually are both in NYSSMA. NYSSMA is really challenging, but I love it. We are with a lot of other students from our school that have the same interests as us! It is a great experience!
In September, I went on the People to People Student Leadership Forum in Washington. DC. It was a lot of fun! I went to many important Federal Buildings, museums, and more. I fully enjoyed myself! It was a great experience! On top of the friends and memories I obtained, I also got a high school credit! Isn't that so cool?
Lastly, I adore the New York Yankees. I often follow the games. Also, I covered my ENTIRE locker with Yankee pictures. The inside of my door, the back wall, and the side walls are all covered! The Yankees are the best! Spring Training has been way to long and I am so happy that baseball is starting up again soon! My favorite players are Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez! Let's go Yankees!
