Where did the water of NEWater originally come from?

The water comes mainly from the toilets and drains.

Is NEWater very expensive?

The cost of NEWater as compared to obtaining drinkable water from desalination is much cheaper. In fact, bottles of NEWater have always been sponsored for many events. As to date, the Public Utilities of Singapore has not raised the charges for water consumption due to the introduction of NEWater.
