Bessie Blount
Bessie was born in 1914 in Hickory Virginia. As she grew up, she worked as a physical therapist for injured solders. She went to the University of Physical Education and Therapy in Chicago. When she went there she invented medical help for the people that are handicapped. Years later she taught physical therapy in New York. She worked on her eating tools for disabled; but was unable to sell her inventions. But the French Government used her inventions. "A black woman can invent something that can benefit human kind."
