Rosa Parks was born on February 4, 1913; she is often called “The Mother of Modern Civil Rights Movement”, for her courageous act on December 1, 1955. This is her story…. It was a hot and humid day in Memphis, Tennessee as Rosa got on the bus and sat down in the middle of the bus. She was very tired. After a couple of more stops, the bus got full. A lone white man got on. He asked for her seat. But Rosa refused to budge. The bus driver became angry and called the police. Rosa was arrested and bailed by Martin Luther King Jr.
Sadly, Rosa Parks died in October 2005.
She changed the world of women forever.
