Harriet Tubman was born into slavery in 1819 in Dorchester, Maryland. At that time, the fight of black and white people was very strong. One day Harriet received a note from a kind white woman asking her to come to escape into freedom.
After freeing herself she returned to Maryland to free other
Slaves and of course members of her family. She tried to free
Other slaves but discovered she needed to do it secretly. So she made an underground railroad and succeeded and freed over 300 slave
Harriet Tubman truly was a heroine in slavery.
