Interactive Gaming
Video games can be viewed as a form of simulation. These simulations can be of two types:
a)Realism-based simulations- which include contemporary car racing games, business simulations, sports, combat and civilization development games.

In most cases, every video game created has to start with an idea. That idea may spring from a long-time fantasy or somebody's fragment of imagination. Although games are not solely restricted to entertaining people (of all ages), it has come to a point that games train people for abstract and strategic thinking-which becomes very useful when dealing with complicated mind problems. There is some sort of realism with video games, where the mind focuses of solving a problem virtually. Technically-speaking, the interaction of the player with the game is called the "gameplay"-which includes direct interaction with the game.
In order to win the game, the player must devote his/her entire attention to it while utilizing skills or tactics. Plus, there is improved hand-eye coordination and makes the player's reflexes work to his/her advantage. When players stare at a screen with a blank expression, often regarded as "not to be disturbed," it simply describes a person in total or intense concentration. Hence, you see people getting lost in the game.
For video games to come to life in the big screen, it would also involve a good user interface, where the player can create a profile of his/her choice or create personalized settings for better functionality. Since game controllers are the key element of interaction, it should reflect mult-ifunctionality and taking into consideration the different variations of game controllers. Aside from the basic joystick, there are also several approaches to user interfaces, such as virtual gloves, dance-step, gesture-reading and voice recognition.
Creating video games would entail a pool of highly-skilled people with creative minds. The story has to be challenging enough for the would-be gamer to continue playing the game. Each detail has to make the gamer curious so he/she can continue poking around. Video games encourage team playing and skills interchange, too. The players work together towards a common goal.
There are films adapted from famous video games. One example is Tomb Raider. Lara Croft was portrayed by Angelina Jolie as a treasure hunter, trotting the globe for special artifacts. A sequel to the first film was also made.
