About the henna

The henna has got small, round leaves and it has got berry like seeds. It also has got different names and its known in various forms. It has got tasty, red, pink or white flower, which has got four petal and a typically long stigmata. Its oil is used as a perfume for centuries. Its specialty – cooling effect - was discovered by desert people. They put their hands and feet into the mash of the plants in order to endure extreme heat. They also discovered, that the refressing or cooling effect lasts until the colour is shown.

 

It is used in other medicial ways

In India and in North-Africa it used to cure cutaneaus diseases, and it has got disinfectant effect and helps the tissue to heal, so that is why, it is still used to cure small wounds, scratches, burnings and against eczema. Moreover it is good for curing strains, other rheumatic pains and arthritis. Used on feet it is a good fungucide and a corn-cure. It is known in Europe, that it has got other features, just like the effect of hair conditioning and it is very good to stop falling hair and against scales.

It is originally from Egypt, because it is bear dryness and extreme hot. It is growing in India, Sudan, North-Africa and eastern countries.
