The Lilly of the valley,
which blooming at the end of spring, is very popular present on
mother’s day in a boquet, but it has got medicinal effects
too. The delphinium blooms in the same time and it has got purple
flowers. It can be the helper of our health.
Some of the local tradition say, that if a girl anoints her face
with the Lilly of the valley, her eyes will remain healthy and her
face will be refreshed. It can be added to a facial cream or to
water. Healers of old times advocated it against nervous heart
problems and against fatigue or brain-fag. It was also
used against headache, dizziness and melacholy
and sometimes it was used as a cordinal. People who suffered
apopletic strokes were cured with the essence of it mixed with
vinegar. The essence was extracted from the roots and it was used
to heal impotence. Its flower - in powder form – easing the
symtoms of flu. It is still recognized nowadays and in some
countries it is a component of medicines curing heart disorders. It
is not advised to use it in homeopathic
treatments.
The
delphinium is originates from Asia and it blooms in corn plantings.
Its flower eases coughing so as its tea. It is used as a
vasolidator, but strictly under medical advisory. This plant has a
place in folk therapy and it was used to cure wounds and
haemmorhoids. It is the component of insense
sticks.
