INTRODUCTION

In this stessful life many people start and finish the day with medicines. They  use up alarming amount of pills for supposed and concrete illnesses. Medicines are in every grass and wood said our ancestors.

Let’s follow their various therapies and their recommendations.

Our very first „ non-medical practitioners” were shamans and sorcerers who cured and gave advises within familys, clans and tribes. Their late followers

They knew the effects of herbs very well but also practised curing in other ways. Their experiences played an important part in medical science and built continuously in to it. Meanwhile they learnt by books and experiences.

Stephen Tömörkény, the writer of the last century, said that the modern medical science gained most of the medicines from the vegetable kingdom. He also said that common people found out the curative effect of the nature’s treasure.  

Consequently from the XV to XVIII century, the literature of botany and medical science based the hungarian natural healing.

Besides the excellent results of medical science, int he 20th century old methodes were freshend up worldwilde, while 1000 year old Estern therapy established. People realized that kár a verébre ágyúval lõni so holistic medicine spreaded again. Because of the side effects of medicines, more and more people chose the harmless natural haeling. Conscious eating, excursion, swimming, cycling, herb teas, and other things can help to keep ourselves healthy.

These pages show how to cured our ancestors, what were the treatments which are still used as alternative therapies nowadays.

Our work shows the different parts of the body, their functions, their illnesses and cures. This doesn’t mean that we do not expect doctors’s help,  actually we see them as partners in the discovery of the nature’s healing power.

My name is Alexandra. I was born on 04.03.1992. I live in a small village called Kerecsend. I attend to Magyary Károly Primary School and Music School. I like cycling, watching tv, talking to my friends and lots of other things.  My favourite subjets are P.E., drawing and computing. What I would like to be is hairdresser or cosmetician.

My name is Ramona. I was born on 08.04.1992. I live in Kerecsend with my family. I attend to Magyary Károly Primary Scool and Music School. My favourite pass time activity are roller skating, watching tv, dancing. I like Rock and Rap. Favourite subjects: Singing, English, History, Biology.  If I finish school I would like to be a dancer and once I would like to go to America.

My name is Tünde. I live in Kerecsend with my family. I attend to Magyary Károly Primary School and Music school. I am in grade 6. Favourite subjects are: English, P.E., History. I took part in the previous Thinkquest compatition. When I heard that there is another one I applied inmadiatly because I liked the topic.
