Lead is everywhere, in our water, paint, hotdogs, and wire. Lead is in the strangest places. As everyone knows with every sickness or disease come symptoms such as vomiting, headaches, and memory loss. Beware of these symptoms. You might have lead poisoning.
Lead is a deadly metal. Lead at times shows no symptoms, but there are many symptoms that go along with lead poisoning.
Lead can allow you to have miscarriages and if the baby lives it has the chance of becoming mental. Lead affects almost the entire human body, including the nervous system, your kidneys, and the ability to have babies. Lead affects your social life because you'd have mood swings can get lead poisoning from many different sources. For example, paint chips in houses built before 1978, lead dust in houses built before 1978, ceramic pottery, bare soil, some drinking water, food, hair dyes and cosmetics.
There are many ways to prevent lead poisoning. You can cover bare soil with grass in play areas. Don't store any liquid in lead crystal containers, don't eat or drink out of ceramic mugs, and to check your drinking water for lead frequently. You can get an inspector to check your house for lead if your house was built before 1978, clean up lead dust, don't store food in open cans, and have children have a healthy diet so they do not absorb as much lead if they accidentally eat it.
Have you ever wondered why kids 6 and under seem to show more signs of lead poisoning? If you think about it, if a little boy about 3 years old that weighs about 30 pounds and a full grown man about 35 that weighs 180 pounds and drank the same amount of lead contaminated water it would affect the little boy more because it's compressed in a small space and when it builds up, it would be a big deal.
