Even in ancient times, people ate chicken.
Romans used different spices and flavors to make their chicken
delicious. At least they thought it was delicious. To experience
the ancient world chicken dish, Scott (with his mom's help) cooked
a famous roman recipe called

INGREDIENTS:

chicken
1/2 cup olive
oil
1 cup red
wine
1 teaspoon
salt
1
leek
1/4 cup
dill weed
1/3 cup dried
rose petals
2 tablespoons
ground coriander seed
1/2 teaspoon
ground black pepper
salt
1/2 cup syrup
from canned figs

HOW TO
Mix cup olive oil, wine
,salt, leek, dill, rose petals, coriander, and black
pepper.
Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a
large pan. Fry whole chicken Add half of the seasoning mixture, and
fry until chicken starts to change color.
Put chicken in a baking pan.Rub the
chicken with the seasoning.
Bake at 425 degrees F for 1 hour,
and baste it.
Put fig syrup on the plate and put
chicken on it.
