Jerry Lucas was born on March 30, 1940 in Middletown, OH. Jerry was the NBA Rookie of the Year (1964). Lucas scored 14,053 career points and had 12,942 rebounds. He is one of only three players in basketball history to average 40 rebounds a game. He led the New York Knick to a NBA championship in 1973. He was a seven time All Star from 1964-1971. He played for the winning 1960 U.S. Olympic Team. In college he played for Ohio State University and led them to three Big Ten championships and a 78-6 record. |
