How Basketball Began... |

Basketball was invented in the winter of 1891 in Springfield, Massachusetts by Dr. James Naismith. he made the indoor game to challenge his students because it was too cold to play outside. When he played with his students, he hung two peach baskets at either side of the gym and had the kids play with a soccer ball. |
