Students Against Destructive Decitions     Originally, the mission of SADD was to help young people say "No" to drinking and driving. Today, the mission has expanded. I feel we are very lucky to have an organization like SADD to help people. Students From my school, Utica High School, told us that positive peer pressure, role models, and other strategies can help them say "No" to more than just drinking and driving. And that is why SADD has become a peer leadership organization dedicated to preventing destructive decisions, particularly underage drinking, other drug use, impaired driving, teen violence and teen depression and suicide. You can contact SADD for help anytime that you want and have many local chapters at schools near you including Utica High School.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving   Mothers Against Drunk Driving was created in 1980 from a mom who lost their own son in a drunk driving accident. This organization can also help people who are in trouble or need help with alcohol. Over time, other organizations have taken over MADD and it has largely become anti-alcohol rather than anti-drunk driving. MADD’s president, Candy Lightner, left the organization because it was not what she wanted it to be. There are also a lot of chapters all over the United States and Canada.

Alcoholic Anonymous       Alcoholic Anonymous is one of the only groups that will help you quit drinking. Anyone can join at any time but the only requirement is a promise the desire to quit. When checking into AA your progress will then be tracked and recorded. Many people are available to help and there are alcohol anonymous locations all around the United States and Canada. AA is a completely private organization. You are not required to use real names or other information. If you feel you are in need of some help and are willing to try to change, please contact us.
