| In the
1960’s the hippies were born. Hippies are usually people who are
people who believed in “The Man”. Most people didn’t
like hippies. They didn’t like the hippies because they thought
that the hippies were crazy. Some people supported the hippies and some
became hippies themselves. How did people became hippies? We don’t
know. Some people hated the hippies so much that they started saying bad
things and doing bad things to and about them. When the hippies heard
about this they didn’t do anything. |
||
| The hippies usually wore tye-dye shirts and bellbottoms. Hippies wore colorful clothing and sometimes hippies had fros. Hippies, male and female, usually had long hair. The hippies talked different than everybody else. They said things like“peace out man” and so on. Most people didn’t like what the hippies wore. Did the hippies care? No, the hippies didn’t really care about what other people thought about them or what they wore. |
||
| Hippies believed in peace and love but some people didn’t like what the hippies thought. The hippies kept doing what they were doing and weren’t bothered in the least. This made the non- hippies feel really angry so they kept trying to get some dirt on the hippies. That didn’t work so the hippies stayed alive for as long as they could. This is hippies on Flashback to the 1960s. |
