Minnesota Timberwolves History In 1989 the Timberwolves began their first season coached by Bill Musselman. The name "The Timbewolves" was thought of by a contestant in a name the team contest. Of course, with the name The Timberwolves, that made their mascot a timberwolf. Which was named Crunch. Their first year, their first round draft pick was Jerome “Pooh” Richardson. Who eventually went on to be named the NBA All-Rookie in 1989-90. They finished their first season with 22 wins and 60 losses. In their second season they improved by 7 games, with a record of 29 wins and 53 losses. |

The Minnesota Timberwolves play their home games at the Target Center, in Minneapolis. Their uniforms are white, blue, silver, green and black. This year the Minnesota Timberwolves have 17 players. They are William Avery, Chauncey Billups, Terrell Brandon, Sam Cassal, Maurice Evans, Kevin Garnett, Dean Garnet, Tom Hammonds, Felipe Lopez, Sam Mitchell, Radoslav Nesterovic, Anthony Peeler, Joe Smith, Wally Szczerbiak, Gary Trent, and Loren Woods. |
