- 1929
- The paper currency was reduced in size by about 30 percent to
lower the cost of maufacturing. This also made it easier for the
general public to distinguish between the real and counterfeit
notes.
- 1990
- A security thread and microprinting is introduced on the $50
and $100 dollar billls. These features help stop counterfeiting
by advanced copiers and printers.
