Stop Spread?
To help prevent invasive species from making their way to the USA, the USDA enters into animal and plant health with other countries to not allow them. The New Hampshire Department of Agriculture has been releasing biological controls to help mange invasive plants. These controls are insects from Europe that only eat the invasive plants. The USDA also may affect clearance inspections of imports at native ports before they even arrive in the United States. In addition, about 2,700 inspector a short time ago moved from USDA to the new department of Homeland.
