How do Invasive Plants of New Hampshire Get Here?

Norway Maple comes from northern and central Europe.  Milfoil can get here from boat propellers that had treaded in other waters. In some cases, invasive plants arrive here, purely by accident, as a seed in agricultural products, or on shipments from over seas. In other cases, invasive plants are selected for their heretic cultural attributes. Beautiful, unusual, exceptionally  hardly, drought-tolerant, or fast growing plants sought by gardeners all over the whole world.

Most water milfoil comes from other waters from boats
