Safety There are two different types of tornado alerts. There are tornado watches and tornado warnings. Tornado watches occur when a tornado could occur. A tornado warning is when a tornado has been spotted, or is strongly indicated on a radar, and its time to go to a shelter. Some things you should look for when a tornado watch is issued are a greenish or greenish balck sky, hail, and a strange quite, and clouds moving brisk in a rotating manner or converging to part of the sky. You may hear a sound like a waterfall or rushing air at first, but it will soon turn into a roar as it gets closer. Watch out for falling debris. Last, but not least, look for a funnel shaped cloud that is rotating through open areas.
