Weapons

Weapons in Medieval England were very basic. You had armor, melee, ballistics, and siege. In the course of combat, you used every single weapon all most all the time.

Armor

Armor was the most important part of a battle. Without armor you could not survive a severe blow from any weapon. You had several layers of armor. Chain mail, breast plates, and helmets, were all parts of a basic armor set up. There were more advanced types also.

Melee

Melee weapons were the most common types of weapons used. They included bladed weapons, bludgeons, and pole arms. Bladed weapons were daggers and swords. Bludgeons were clubs and maces. Pole arms were spears and javelins.

Ballistics

Ballistics was your long ranged weapons. These included long bows and cross bows. Using these weapons you could take out some enemies before they even reached you.

Siege

Siege weapons were weapons you used to penetrate garrisons and castles. These included siege towers and catapults. They were very effective.
