Medieval Life
Life during the middle ages in England was simple. People worked and played. They went about their everyday lives. Then you had those explorers those innovators always looking for something new. They battled sickness and disease just like we do today. They were just trying to live the best they could.
People worked during the medieval ages. They had jobs that they did so they could earn money. There were carpenters, blacksmiths, farmers, merchants, and lumberjacks. They all had a job to do. They all contributed to the daily lives of themselves and others.
When work is done at the end of the day you just want to kick back and relax. Have a little recreation time. When you have your recreation time there is lots of stuff you can do. You can go see a traveling circus. You can go see a street artist performing dances, singing a song, or playing some music. Then there is the most common type of recreation, tournaments. In tournaments knights competed against each other to gain respect and money.
Another important part of the daily life is feudalism. Feudalism is when you are given land to govern by someone greater than you. This system allows someone to govern a large plot of land without having to be everywhere. This system was brought to England by William I.
