This plant eater had an enormous head and a strange face.  The animal had a parrot-like beak, one horn over each eye, and a smaller horn on its nose.  Behind Triceratops's head, its neck and shoulders were protected by a thick collar of bone and skin.  The 8-ton animal walked on four strong, sturdy legs.  Triceratops was surprisingly fast:  it could run about 30 miles per hour!
