March 25 - April 2, 2005 - Young MDG Team Members meet up in Montego Bay, Jamaica to attend a week of culminating event intended for Young People using Technology for Social Development. Angelicum (Philippines), Van (USA) and Jaevion (Jamaica) spend the week learning from workshops and seminars conducted by proffessionals from the Non-profit and the Corporate sectors and not to mention, they sure enjoyed the beaches! They also get to meet new friends from around thw world!
Throughout the week, several press people interviewed Angelicum, tackling the project idea and the importance of the Young MDG project. On some of the interviews, he also get to ask other young people to join him and other advocates in spreading the word of the MDGs. We find it essential to promote the project using the media for a wider grasp of audience.
There are also live radio and print media interviews both from the Jamaican Press and Student from different schools in Jamaica.
April 27, 2005 - Young MDG is officially open! The site has been submitted for TQ judging and the project begins its launch into history. During the judging time, the team will continue to work on creating new ideas for spreading the word around the world.
