Low-income Country

The standard of living is very low in these countries. There are few goods and services; and many people cannot meet their basic needs. There are currently about 64 low-income countries. Their combined population is more than 2.4 billion

 

Middle-Income Country

Their standard of living is higher than low-income countries, and people have access to more resources, but many people still cannot meet the basic needs. There are currently about 93 middle-income countries. Combined their population is more than 2.7 billion.

High-Income Country

High-income countries have a very developed economy. There are currently 50 high-income countries in the world. Combined their population is about 0.9 billion, less than one-sixth of the world's population
