• Not only do hurricanes occur in the United States but they also happen around the world / South America and the Caribbean.
• They mostly hit the Southeastern end of the United States.
• Hurricane Andrew killed 23 people with winds that were at speeds of 175 MPH and cost 20 billion dollars in damage.
