When You Receive a Flood Warning:
It’s time to take your emergency supplies with you and move to a higher ground.
If there’s still time, travel to a safer area. But most of the time, it’s better to leave your vehicles, and go seek for a higher ground.
Shut down all the electric power in your house. Make sure you know where everybody in your family is and if they are safe.

During the Flood:
Go to a higher ground. Stay away from the floodwater. Do not walk into the water in the deep flooded areas. Don’t try to swim or drive through the floods. Wait for the water to fall down. Don’t stay on your vehicles. Most of people, who died in the floods, were on their vehicles. Go seek for a higher ground.
Do not eat or drink anything that have contacted with the floodwater. There may be viruses and diseases in the floodwater. Be alert for snakes, rats, and some other animals that are in the floodwater. Stay informed; listen to the radio to know what happens. Give first aid to injured people if you know how to. Be extremely careful at night, because floods may be rising, and we can’t see it.
