DANGER SIGNS

Heavy rains. Watch out for the rainfall, not only in your area, but also the nearby areas. Listen for the sound of water. Water levels rise.

Before the Flood:

One of the best ways to protect yourself, your family and your property is to get flood insurance. Always stay informed, listen to the radio or watch television.Having your family discuss, and practice what to do when a flood actually happens. Have an emergency plan, so if your family is separated during the floods, you will know how to get back to each other. Keep some disaster supplies in hands, such as flashlight (extra batteries), first-aid kit, emergency food, extra clothes, water, medicines, etc. You shouldn’t have electric power in the disaster supplies, because during the floods, the power may go off.
