CONCEPT:
·Tsunamis
are the worst natural disaster;
they happen mostly in the Pacific Ocean, but may also occur
any where in the world with a large body of 
water.
·Tsunamis
are large wave of water that is caused by
an earthquake in the ocean.
·It
depends on the earthquake on the size of the Tsunamis
big or small.
·They
travel hundreds of miles and cause great devastation
to any one in its way.
·Tsunamis
start at speech at .85 mach, which is close to
600 MPH, and then slow down to around 30 MPH when
they reach land.
Tsunamis
around the world:
·Most
tsunamis form in the Pacific. It is because of the plates underground
and that it's so close to what we call "The Ring of Fire".
·The
Pacific Ocean has the only type of Tsunamis warning, system
in place.
·Asia
had the biggest disaster of any natural disaster none to man
kind in the winter of 04-05 when a series of Tsunamis hit the
coast of many countries from Asia to Afriaca. 150,000 lives
lost still rsing as bodies are found.
What makes a
tsunami happen:
·A
large earthquake must happen in the ocean close to the surface
for there to be any chance of Tsunamis.
