Humerus |
|
The humerus is the bone in the arm extending from the shoulder to the elbow. It's shaped
like a cylindrical shaft. Underneath the bone lies the ulner nerve, called the funny bone
because when you hit it, it sends a tingling sensation that feels really weird through your
arm and hand. |

Shoulder |
|
The shoulder is a joint where the round head of the humerus attaches into a cup-like
depression in the scapula, or shoulder blade. It gives the arm a wide range of movement in all directions, although movement
of the arm behind the back is somewhat limited. The shoulder is vulnerable to dislocations
from sudden jerking. |
