Femur |
|
The primary leg bones are the Femur, Tibia, Knee and Fibula. The Femur runs from the
thigh to the knee and is the longest bone in the body. It connects to the pelvis, or hip
bone, with a ball-and-socket joint, allowing a wide, circular range of leg motion. This
joint is vulnerable to fractures. When you hear about an older person breaking their hip,
this is probably where they broke it. |
